You can use the Add dialog box to add Exception combinations.
-
In the Exceptions dialog box, select the Exception
Combinations tab.
-

- In the Abbr and Name fields, enter an abbreviation and the full name of the exception combination.
- From the Color palette, select the color you want to assign to the exception combination. (The colors are displayed in the Exceptions calendar.)
- From the list of exception abbreviations, select the check boxes of the exceptions you want to combine. For example, select the check boxes, SD and FR to create the SD/FR exception combination.
- In the Memo field, enter any information on the new exception combination. For example, purpose, when applied.
- Optional: Select the appropriate check box for the days of the week to which you want to apply the exception.
-
Click OK.
The new exception combination appears on the Exception Combinations tab.If you attempt to combine mutually exclusive options, an error message appears. The example shown here states that the exception CF (County Fair), which you may have set up to apply only on Saturdays and Sundays, can not be combined with FR which only applies on Fridays.
- To view all exceptions within the exception combinations, select Expand All.
-
Click Close.
If an Exclusive exception exists, every exception combination created must contain either the Exclusive exception or its opposite. In the example shown in the following graphic, either SD or #SD appears in all the exception combinations, that is, if you do not actively choose SD, the #SD is automatically added.
