Copying Pattern Traces from Line in Another Sign-Up Period

You can copy a pattern trace from a line in another sign-up period to an existing line in the current sign-up period.

  1. On the Patterns tab, click Route Definition > Edit or click Edit: Edit button.
  2. Select the Patterns Copy tab.
  3. If the directions in the From and To fields are not what you want, replace them with the appropriate directions.
  4. In the list of patterns in the frame below the From field, select the patterns you want to copy.
  5. To copy all patterns in the From direction, click Select All.
  6. To copy the pattern traces of the patterns selected, select the Copy Trace check box.
  7. To have the system automatically create a new pattern for the reverse direction, select the Reverse Trace check box.
  8. Select the Copy Trace From Existing Pattern check box.
  9. In the From signup list, select the sign-up period from which you want to copy.
  10. In the From Line list, select the appropriate line.
  11. In the From Pattern list, select the pattern from which you want to copy.
  12. To copy the pattern in the opposite direction, select the Reverse Direction check box.
  13. In the To list, select the direction to which you want to copy the selected pattern.
  14. In the To Pattern drop-down list, select the pattern to which you want to copy the selected pattern.
  15. Click Apply.
  16. Click Close.
    Note: This feature also creates a line trace underneath the pattern trace if a line trace does not already exist.
