Toolbar Commands

The following table lists and describes the commands available in the MapEdit toolbar.

Command Button Description

Set Read Only/Get Write Access

 Set Read Only Toggles between read-only access and write access to map data.
Street Wizard Street Wizard Starts the Street Wizard.
Distance Wizard Distance Starts the Distance Wizard.
Route Wizard Route Starts the Route Wizard.
Speed Wizard Speed Wizard Starts the Speed Wizard.
Full View Full View Shows the entire map.
Zoom In Zoom In Zooms in to show a smaller area of the map in more detail.
Zoom Out Zoom Out Zooms out to show a larger area of the map in less detail.
Label Streets Label Streets Shows street names on the map.
Display Grid Display Grid Shows a grid of areas saved in map data files.
Show/Hide Properties Box Show Hide Properties Opens the Properties dialog for viewing and editing street segment information.
Select Select Starts and, when it appears pressed, indicates Segment Mode.
Select Point Select Point Starts and, when it appears pressed, indicates Points mode.
Add Add Adds segments and shape points.
Save Save Saves map changes.
Delete Delete Deletes segments.
Split Split Splits segments.
Snap to Existing Objects Snap to Existing Objects Enables you to connect new segments to existing end points.
