Accrual Grid Fields

The Accrual Grid screen describes how time accrues for an Accrual Type.

Table 1. Accrual Grid Ancillary Data Fields
Field	Required/Optional	Description
Accrual Type	Required	Type of time that employees can accrue (for example, vacation time, sick time). Available accrual types are specified in Accrual Types ancillary data.
Calculation Formula	Optional	Formula for calculating the amount of time accrued in an accrual time period. Formulas can include any of the following elements: Operators / * + - Brackets ( ) Variables. To represent the number of hours worked in a pay code, use the following syntax: `PC(paycode)` (for example, PC(1435)). To represent the number of hours worked in a pay code group, use the following syntax: `PCG(pay code group)` (for example, PCG(EB Hours)). The accrual time period length is specified by the Period Type in Accrual Rules ancillary data.
Effective From Date	Required	First date when the accrual rate is in effect.
Effective To Date	Optional	Last date when the accrual rate is in effect.
From Months	Required	Minimum number of months of service required to be eligible for the accrual rate. The start date for measuring months of service is specified by the Ref Date in Accrual Rules ancillary data.
Hours	Required	Amount of time accrued in an accrual time period. To specify a formula for calculating the amount of time, enter a zero (0) in this field and enter the formula in the Calculation Formula field. The accrual time period length is specified by the Period Type in Accrual Rules ancillary data.
Job Class	Required	Job class for the accrual grid band.
To Months	Optional	Maximum number of months of service required to be eligible for the accrual rate.
