About the Employee Import Screen

The Employee Import screen allows information to be imported from human resource systems into Trapeze OPS.

You can import employee data on a regular basis (for example, every pay period) or on an as needed basis (for example, when hiring new employees).

Note: If OPS isn't the main employee database at your agency, validate the data on a regular basis to make sure that the information in OPS is accurate.

You can view, validate, and reconcile your data before importing into the employee tables for use in the Employee Profile screen.

Information shown on the Employee Import screen isn't entered in the employee tables for use by Employee Profile until you select Run Import: Run Import. The information is stored in various staging tables.

There are two methods to get information into the Employee Import screen:

  • Directly manipulating the staging tables.
  • Using import files with information for loading into the staging tables.
Warning: When importing employee data, don't erase records of employees who are inactive or who have left the company. This employee information might be required for reporting and other purposes. Changing and deleting employee information in the Trapeze database can negatively affect other Trapeze products, such as Trapeze PASS and Trapeze PLAN Ridership Analysis.

For more information on what's required when importing employee information, contact your Trapeze representative.
