Configuring in a TPNET.INI Environment

The CTM server processes itinerary searches while the Schedule server is used for the automated generation of live and template schedules.

This procedure is mandatory for Citrix sites or where the CTM Server or Schedule server is on a different subnet from the workstations (typically, in a WAN environment).
  1. Change the computer name of the CTM Server to a logical name, for example, your site name.
  2. Open the Services file on the CTM Server (located in the C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc directory) and add the following two lines:

    CTMSRV.name port/TCP CTMSRV.name port/UDP

The “name” should be changed to the CTM server computer name created in step 1. The “port” can be any port number that is not already in use on the system, for example, 11002.
  3. In the TPNET.INI file on the CTM server and each workstation, add the following line: CTMSRV.name IPaddress port TCP

The “name” should be changed to the CTM server computer name created in step 1. “IPaddress” should be the IP Address of the CTM server, for example, 195.5.10.133. The “port” should be the port number entered in step 2.

  4. Launch the Mmsw41.exe file, the Trapeze4 Workstation, from the Bin folder.
