Setting Database System Properties

You must set the Profile system properties to identify the database and its location

  1. Click Tools > System Properties.
    The System Properties dialog appears.
  2. On the Profile tab, expand Database.
  3. Select DBD file and click Select.
    The Open dialog appears.
  4. From the Look in list, select the Bin folder. Select the MmsData.dbd file and click Open.
    The pathname appears in the DBD file text box.
  5. Select Data source name and select the appropriate data source name from the list.
  6. On the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom of the list and expand Trapeze Map Data.
  7. Select Binary data path and click Select.
    The Select directory dialog appears.
  8. From the Look in list, select the Map directory and click Select.
    The path name appears in the Binary data path text box.
  9. Select Data source name and select the appropriate data source name from the list. (This is similar to step 5.)
  10. Select DBD file and click Select.
    The Open dialog appears.
  11. From the Look in list, select the Bin folder. Select the MmsMap.dbd file and click Open.
    The pathname appears in the DBD file text box.
  12. Click OK.
  13. Start the workstation again to allow the changes to take effect.

You should no longer see any connection errors after you have completed this procedure.
