Recommended Trapeze File Directory

The recommended Trapeze file directory could potentially contain all Trapeze modules. These folders and their subfolders typically reside in the root directory of the application server that contains all Trapeze products.

Note: This recommended structure may not initially fit all new client sites, therefore, folders may be removed and/or added accordingly for each additional module purchased.

Some of the common folders and subfolders are:

INFO

The INFO folder typically contains files generated during itinerary planning. All related files are stored in their corresponding folders.

Map

Map Backups and Map supporting files (Binaries) are stored in their appropriate folders. Create a separate folder called Map or place it as a subfolder in the Data folder. Typically, one copy of the previous outdated map is retained in this folder in a zip file including its related binary files. Subsequently, the new binary files replace the old ones in the Map Binaries folder.

Setup

The Setup folder typically contains all files used in the setup process. These include items such as Client executable files, scripts, the Runtimes.exe file used, import interfaces and MDAC drivers.

Reports

Place reports for all modules in the Reports folder and group them by product name or report type, for example, standard reports. Save all report files (Crystal, SQL or text) in the appropriate product folder.

Shortcuts

In addition to these standard folders, shortcuts on desktops are recommended to be placed in the Start menu. This provides a more professional look and feel for users. It also avoids problems such as the shortcut being accidentally deleted from the desktop.
