Generating Transfers By Near Nodes

You can generate transfers between selected nodes and stops within a specific radius.

Open the Transfer Wizard and select the sign-up period and agency (if applicable).

Use this method to create transfers:

  • Between nodes that have the same or different node ID’s.
  • Between nodes and stops that fall within a specified radius on the map.
  1. In the Transfer Wizard, open the Automatic tab.
  2. In the Functions field, select the Near Nodes check box.
  3. In the From Lines field, select the lines from which transfers start. Alternatively, to choose all lines, click ALL.

To deselect all lines, click NONE.

  4. In the To Lines field, select the lines to which transfers end.
  5. From the Existing Transfers list, choose one of the following options:
    • Keep Old: Does not overwrite transfers that exist (for example, if a transfer is inactive, it is not enabled and the level and no cost status remain intact).
    • Save new: Overwrites existing transfers with the selected new level, enable transfer.
    • Use Highest Level: Uses the transfer along with its other attributes that has the highest transfer level. Use Lowest Level: Uses the transfer along with its other attributes that has the lowest travel level.
  6. Click Refresh.
The Transfers by Node frame displays all common node>stops for the selected lines.
  7. Optional: Select a node/stop and click Zoom to zoom to it on the system map.
The point is highlighted with a blue square.
  8. Press CTRL and highlight each node at which a transfer is to be created.

Alternatively, click ALL to create transfers at all common nodes. (Click NONE to clear your selections.)

  9. Optional: Fill in the Level and Min. Time fields.
  10. In the Radius field, type a value or leave it at the default value.
  11. Optional: To exclude stops that are not nodes, select the Nodes Only check box.
  12. Optional: To add transfers for the reverse direction, click the Reverse check box
  13. Optional: In the Validity frame, enter a time period in the From and To fields.
  14. Select the days of the week when the transfers are applied.
  15. Optional: In the Comment field, enter any information you want to add regarding the transfers.
  16. Click Generate.

Each node for the selected lines is used as the center of the search radius. All possible transfers between these nodes and other stops (or only between other nodes when the Nodes only check box is selected) are generated.
