Converting *.dbq Files to *.sql Files

Older *.dbq files can be converted into *.sql files that will work with newer versions of Trapeze software.

Starting with DBEdit version 3.2, *.dbq files have been replaced by *.sql files.
  1. Navigate to and double-click dbq2sql.exe.
    The db2sql.exe as it appears in File Explorer. There is a yellow arrow over the letters SQL.
    This file is found in the TP4 folder that contains Mmsw41.exe. dbq2sql.exe is a command line tool that can process *.dbq files and turn them into *.sql files.
    Depending on your system setup, you may need to run the .exe file as Administrator.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • Drag the files that you want to convert onto the blank field.
    • Click Add *.dbq file(s) to the list).

      In the Open dialog, browse to the *.dbq files that you want to convert and click Open.

  3. Click Convert.
