Workspace Roles
Each role allows users to perform certain tasks in the workspace.
Viewer
Consumers should be assigned to the Viewer access level.
- View and interact with the app, dashboards, and reports
- Read data stored in shared databases
Contributor
Power users can be assigned to the Contributor access level, depending on agency needs.
- All Viewer functions
- Add featured content (dashboards and reports) to all user Home canvases
- Create, edit, and remove content
- Create reports in other workspaces using datasets from the current workspace
Member
Power users can be assigned to the Member access level, depending on agency needs.
- All Viewer and Contributor functions
- Add users with lower permissions
- Publish and unpublish the workspace app, and change app permissions
- Update and share content (including the app, if allowed) and give permission to others to reshare content
- Add featured content (apps, dashboards, and reports) to all user Home canvases
Admin
Power users can be assigned to the Admin level, depending on agency needs.
- All Viewer, Contributor, and Member functions
- Add or remove users (of any level)
- Allow Contributors to update the workspace app
- Update or delete the workspace
