Setting New Client Passwords

Client IVR passwords and Web passwords can be manually set or automatically generated on demand.

Before you begin

You must be granted the following Trapeze6 security permissions by a system administrator:
  • To generate and edit client IVR passwords:
    • Trapeze4 > Clients > IVR > Allow Password Edit
    • Trapeze4 > Clients > IVR > Allow Automatic Password Generation
  • To generate and edit Web passwords:
    • Trapeze4 > Clients > WEB > Allow Password Edit
    • Trapeze4 > Clients > WEB > Allow Automatic Password Generation

Client Registration must be open.

Procedure

  1. Search for and select the client.
  2. Click the Misc tab.
  3. To generate a new IVR password, beside the IVR Password field, click Modify.
    You can automatically generate a password, or type and confirm a new password.
    When a password is generated, specific Trapeze6 properties control how the password is saved and shown:
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > IVR > Encryption Mode
    Whether to encrypt IVR passwords upon saving.
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > IVR > Hide
    Whether to mask IVR passwords upon saving.
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > IVR > Numeric Passwords Only
    Whether IVR passwords can be composed only of numbers.
  4. To generate a new web password, beside the WEB Password field, click Modify.
    You can automatically generate a password, or type and confirm a new password.
    When a password is generated, specific Trapeze6 properties control how the password is saved and shown:
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > WEB > Encryption Mode
    Whether to encrypt WEB passwords upon saving.
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > WEB > Hide
    Whether to mask WEB passwords upon saving.
    PASS > PassInfoServer > Security > WEB > Password Content
    Whether WEB passwords can be composed of numbers only, of numbers and letters, or if there are no restrictions.
  5. Click the Save button:
