Defining Solution Parameter Sets

Solution parameters are those that determine how trip solutions are calculated.

Procedure

  1. Click Tools > System Properties.
  2. On the Profile tab, expand the PASS Scheduling properties, and then click Sets: Parameters.
  3. On the right side of the dialog box, click Edit.
  4. In the Solution Parameters dialog box, type the name of the set you want to create.
  5. In the SecGroup Name list, click a user group to which the new set applies.

    If a user group has been set for the user account that you used to log in, it appears by default.

  6. In the Search Restrictions frame, type the values that you want to assign to the new set.
  7. In the Costing frame, type the cost values that system uses to search for solutions.
  8. Click Weights.
    The Costing Weights dialog box appears.
  9. Adjust the indicators as necessary to change the scheduling algorithm.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Add a Comment about the current settings or any related properties.
  12. Click Apply.
  13. Click OK.
