Updating Location Addresses after Editing a Location Record

When a client record is altered in a way that will affect existing bookings (for example, a new home address) any existing bookings should be updated.

Before you begin

Common Locations must be open.

About this task

No updates are needed if the information will not affect bookings. For example, a new client picture.

Procedure

  1. Select a location.
  2. Click the Locations > Address Maintenance.
    The Address Maintenance dialog box appears. Trips that have this location as their Origin or Destination are listed.
  3. To filter the addresses in the Select Addresses to be Updated field, click Preselect Near by Addresses.
    Addresses that are geographically close to the selected address are selected. You can manually change the selection by using CTRL + A to select or deselect addresses.
  4. Type the Date after which the selected addresses will be updated for trips.
    To set the date format, click File > Properties. On the Formats tab, click Date and click a Date format in the list. Click OK.
  5. Click Apply to Selected.
  6. When prompted to confirm the update, click Yes.
