Showing Multiple Views in Schedule Editor

Up to three views can be shown in Schedule Editor at one time.

Before you begin

Schedule Editor must be open.

About this task

Multiple views (for example, Runs view and Run Itinerary view) can be shown in Schedule Editor at the same time. While some schedulers use one view per Schedule Editor window to do all their work, others find it easier to use multiple views in one window.
When you have multiple views open in Schedule Editor, the highlighted title bar indicates which Schedule Editor view is currently active.

Using multiple views makes it easy to manually edit a schedule by dragging and dropping events (to rearrange events in a run, to move an event from one run to another, or to insert unscheduled trips into a run itinerary).

Procedure

Do one of the following:
  • In the Views information area, click the +.
    An example of what's visible in the View information area. In this case, Views:2, the + button and the - button.
  • Click View > Add and select a view to add. For example, Runs or Slack Time.

What to do next

To delete a view, click in the view to make it active and then click .
