Schedule Editor Commands for Editing Schedules

The following table describes all available commands that can be used while editing a schedule.

With the exception of cancel commands, which are located under the Cancel/No Show menu, all functions can be found under the Edit menu in Schedule Editor. Most functions are also available in the main toolbar and the right-click menu for quick and easy access.

Table 1. Commands Used to Edit Schedules
Command Button Description
Go To Pair Two diagonal-facing arrows and a two-headed arrow. Select a trip event (for example, pick-up) and choose this command to locate the corresponding event (for example, drop-off).

The corresponding event is highlighted on the screen.

Cut Edit menu Cut a run to remove it or paste it in another itinerary.
Paste Edit menu Paste a run that was cut from another itinerary.
Unschedule Edit menu
There are two ways to unschedule a trip:
  • Select a client event (pick-up or drop-off), right-click, and choose Unschedule. The booking is unscheduled.
  • Display both the run itinerary on which the trip is scheduled and the Display (Unscheduled) Trips view. Drag and drop the trip from the Run Itinerary view to the Unscheduled Trips view. The trip is no longer scheduled.
Reschedule Three times: 1:07, 1:10, and 1:40. Highlight a booking, and then click this button.

The Schedule Booking Wizard opens for scheduling/rescheduling this booking.

Autoschedule Edit menu Automatically schedules a booking. You do not have to click the Find button.

Delete Edit menu Delete breaks from a run itinerary when necessary.

If you select a trip event (pick-up or drop-off) by accident, the booking disappears from the run and is unscheduled.

Move Block Edit menu This option is functional only for FLEX Routes.
Advance Cancellation Text overlaid with a red X.

Edit Booking SupData Edit menu Edit or add a comment on the Supplementary Data tab.

Select the booking and click Edit > Edit SupData. Comments in this field are private. This information is not printed on the driver manifest, does not affect the schedule, and therefore, does not require the trip to be rescheduled.

Edit Booking Activity Edit menu Edit the leg details of a booking in a separate dialog box.

For example, add a passenger or change a fare type.

Edit Provider Cost Adjustment Edit menu

Adjust a calculated cost using Provider Contracts (a manual adjustment amount can be added into the Provider Cost field).

Pull Out Assign Edit menu

Assign a driver and/or vehicle to a run and record the pull-out time and odometer reading at the time of the pull-out.

Inactive client and vehicle records are filtered from appearing in lists on this screen. When a schedule is being activated, Schedule Server removes any preassigned driver or vehicle that is marked as inactive.

Odometer Edit menu Select a run and then click this command to record the vehicle’s odometer readings at the time of pull-out, first pick-up, last drop-off, and pull-in.
Reschedule Escort Edit menu

Escort scheduling is used to add a passenger assistant (escort) onto a run. The escort accompanies a passenger who has special transportation needs.

Freeze Event Right-click menu

For scheduled trips (one trip or multiple trips), you can freeze an event (pick-up and drop-off) to maintain its position on the run.

No event can be inserted between these events and they cannot be moved to another run.

A check mark next to the Freeze Event command in the right-click menu shows that the event is frozen. To remove the freeze status, click the command again. The check mark is no longer shown.

A frozen event will appear in the Tracker Action Log with the Track Code PASS/Frozen (if defined in Tracker Action ancillary data). If the event is subsequently unfrozen, it will be marked with the Track Code PASS/UnFrozen (if defined in Tracker Action ancillary data).

A frozen trip can be identified by a specific color in Trip Administration and Schedule Editor. Click the File > Properties and, on the Tools tab, click Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Frozen Event Color.

Lock Booking Right-click menu

Prevents a selected booking from being rescheduled during a batch schedule.

You can lock bookings when viewing run itineraries, client itineraries, scheduled client bookings, and all events in Schedule Editor.

When a booking is locked a check mark appears next to the Lock Booking command to indicate that it is locked.

To unlock a booking, select the trip and click Lock Booking. The check mark no longer appears.

Locked bookings can be rescheduled using the Schedule Booking Wizard.

A locked booking can be identified by a specific color in Trip Administration and Schedule Editor. Click File > Properties and, on the Tools tab, click Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Locked Booking Color.

Freeze Run Right-click menu

Prevents trips from being added to a run and existing trips from being removed from it.

A frozen run will appear in the Tracker Action Log with the Track Code PASS/RunFrozen (if defined in Tracker Action ancillary data).
