User-Defined Schedule Editor Properties

Schedule Editor properties control the appearance and functionality of Schedule Editor.

Schedule Editor is a tool that provides different views for schedules and events, and allows you to view, delete, cancel, or uncancel scheduled bookings, and schedule unscheduled bookings.

In PASS, events include pick-ups, drop-offs, pull-ins, pull-outs, refuelling stops, lunches, and other driver breaks.

Schedule Editor properties are found in File > Properties, on the Tools tab.

Schedule Editor > All Events From time Specifies the start time from when all scheduled events are to be shown.
Schedule Editor > All Events To time Specifies the end time after which scheduled events are no longer shown.
Schedule Editor > All Events Use time range Specifies whether to use the time ranges set in the All Events From time and All Events To time properties.

Use this property to prevent bookings scheduled with an incorrect time from appearing.
Schedule Editor > All Same Geo time window Specifies the time window for the All Same Geo option in Schedule Editor.

For example, if a user types 10, events having the same geocoded address in a run itinerary within 10 minutes of the selected event’s start and end times are highlighted.
Schedule Editor > Auto Update Odometer Specifies whether to populate the next events that have the same latitude and longitude with what is manually typed as the odometer reading for an event.

This feature is useful when you have many groups traveling to or from a single location.
Schedule Editor > Autorefresh Specifies whether to automatically refresh or update Schedule Editor.

Activating the auto refresh feature can sometimes disrupt your viewing of the screens. Select No to disable autorefreshing.

To refresh the screen manually, press F5.
Schedule Editor > Autorefresh Rate Specifies the rate by which the screen refreshes.

For example, 5 automatically refreshes the screen every five minutes.
Schedule Editor > Client events only Specifies whether to shows only events relating to clients.

If set to Yes, pull-ins, pull-outs, lunches, and breaks are not shown.

If set to No, all events related to a client event are shown.
Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Specifies the colors used to highlight specific clients, trips, or other activities in Schedule Editor and in Dispatch Manager.

For each property, choose a color from the palette or click More for more colors. Once you have chosen a color for a property, click Apply.

The system allows each user to define events on the map individually, but it is recommended that Map properties retain their original settings. Maintain consistency to reduce the impact of any map problems.
Schedule Editor > Default Display Schedule Types Specifies the schedule types to appear in the Select Schedule dialog box in Trip Administration.
Schedule Editor > Default Display SubTypes Specifies the subtypes set as the default in Trip Administration.

Type subtype abbreviations (defined in ancillary data), separated by a comma (,).
Schedule Editor > Default Folder for Events Extra Query Specifies the file location for queries created using the BYOQ option found in Schedule Editor, on the Options tab, in the View All Events frame.
Schedule Editor > Default Folder for Trips Extra Query Specifies the file location for queries created using the BYOQ option found in Schedule Editor, on the Options tab, in the View Trips frame.
Schedule Editor > Default PullOut Assign time Specifies whether the actual pull-out time is shown in Schedule Editor.

By default, the actual time is shown. Sites that use MDTs for dispatching should select Blank for MDT data to populate the pull-out assign time.
Schedule Editor > Display all schedules (month) Specifies whether to show schedules for the past N months.

If the property is set to 0, then all schedules are shown.

The default value is 12 (months).
Schedule Editor > Driver Break Expiration User Group Used for the InsertBreak function.

If the value is less than or equal to 0, the following trace message appears: Driver Break Expiration User Group is empty. Cannot save in the ToDo list.

If the value is greater than zero, then it is stored to the UserGroupID field of the ToDoItems table when an existing row is updated or a new one is inserted.
Schedule Editor > Enable the flashback mechanism Specifies whether to enable flashback mode when a user previews a schedule in Schedule Editor.

Type a value from 1 to 20 to represent the number of run itinerary captures to keep. For example, type 5 for the five latest itineraries.

To disable this property, set the value to 0.
Schedule Editor > Enforce Preview Mode Specifies whether the preview screen should automatically open automatically when users drag and drop trips (Yes or No).

Select Within Time Window to show the preview screen only if the booking time (negotiated or requested time) falls within the preview time window set in the Preview Time Window property.

Schedule Editor > Extended Address for Stop/Node Specifies whether to show the street name and number for stop/node events.
Schedule Editor > Manually Perform Trip Remove from MDC Specifies whether to automatically remove a trip from the driver’s manifest on the MDC when a trip is manually performed from Schedule Editor.
Schedule Editor > Map: Display all before/after Specifies whether to show all of the events before and after the selected event on the map.
Schedule Editor > Map: Display before/after Specifies the number of events to show on the map before and after the selected event.

The maximum value is 50.
Schedule Editor > Odometers > Enforce Odometer Checking Specifies whether an odometer reading for an event can be less than the reading of a previous event.

If set to No, this checking and the Minimum Odometer Interval property will be by-passed.
Schedule Editor > Odometers > Max Change from Closest Posted Run Specifies the maximum allowable change that Workstation user can make to the odometer value of a run in Schedule Editor.
Schedule Editor > Odometers > Minimum Odometer Interval Specifies the minimum distance between odometer settings to enable the system to check any invalid odometer entries.
Schedule Editor > Perform Prev. on by default Specifies whether to automatically mark all previous trips as Performed after marking one trip as performed.

This option is used for real-time dispatching. Set this property to No to individually mark trips as performed.
Schedule Editor > Perform/Arrive time threshold Applies to PASS-MON.
Schedule Editor > Performed trip NoShow warning Specifies whether to show a warning if a NoShow trip is being marked as Performed.
Schedule Editor > Prompt when overriding MDT information Applies to PASS-MON.
Schedule Editor > Reconnect on view refresh Specifies whether to reconnect the database to Schedule Editor when changes are made.

This property is only used with Access Database Engine.

Set this property to No if Microsoft Access is not used.
Schedule Editor > Refresh after Drag & Drop > All Events Specifies whether to refresh Schedule Editor whenever any event is dragged and dropped in the screen.
Schedule Editor > Refresh after Drag & Drop > Unscheduled Specifies whether to refresh Schedule Editor whenever an unscheduled event is dragged and dropped in the screen.
Schedule Editor > Show all activated Specifies whether to show all activated trips.

An activated trip is a live or template copy of a master subscription record.
Schedule Editor > Show all casuals Specifies whether to show all casual trips.
Schedule Editor > Show all subscriptions Specifies whether to show all subscription bookings.

Because the Show all activated property shows activated live and template copies of a master subscription record, you do not have to show all subscriptions in Schedule Editor unless you are working with the Master subscription file.
Schedule Editor > Sort by client Specifies whether to sort unscheduled events by client in alphabetical order.

If set to No, unscheduled events are sorted chronologically.
Schedule Editor > Sort By Map Page Specifies whether to sorts trips according to the map pages in a mapping book such as Perly’s Maps.

The map page numbers are imported with map data.
Schedule Editor > Sort By Prev. Run Specifies whether to sorts trips in the Display Trips view of Schedule Editor in ascending order according to the Prev. Run column, which shows the run to which a trip was scheduled previously (for trips that are rescheduled or unscheduled).
Schedule Editor > Sort by provider Specifies whether to place unscheduled events in sequence by provider.
Schedule Editor > Sort by run Specifies whether to place schedules in sequence by run.
Schedule Editor > Sort by time Specifies whether to places unscheduled events in chronological order.
Schedule Editor > Sort runs by provider Specifies whether sort runs by provider if the site uses multiple providers.
Schedule Editor > Sort taxi runs by client Specifies whether to sort the clients whose trips are assigned to taxi runs in alphabetical order.
Schedule Editor > Street Route Traces For Runs Specifies whether the map should show street routing for the whole run if set to Yes, or only for selected events if set to No.
Schedule Editor > Unsched From time Specifies the start time from when to show the unscheduled events.

Trapeze recommends setting this value to one hour prior to the time that service begins. If service is 24 hours, leave the field blank.

Use of this property requires that the Unsched Use time range property be set to Yes.
Schedule Editor > Unsched To time Specifies the end time up to which to show unscheduled events.

Use of this property requires that the Unsched Use time range property be set to Yes.
Schedule Editor > Unsched Use time range Specifies whether to show unscheduled trips that are within the time range specified in the Unsched From and Unsched To fields.

Dispatchers should only use this time range when working with next-day trips. By using this property for the current day’s trips, you might overlook trips that have been incorrectly booked outside this time frame.
Schedule Editor > Validate NS for itineraries Specifies whether to show the Set Times dialog box when users cancel multiple trip bookings at once in Schedule Editor with a No Show code.

Users can modify estimated or actual times for each selected booking.
Schedule Editor > Vehicle Breakdown Wiz Default move Option Specifies the default option selected in the Vehicle Breakdown Wizard.
Schedule Editor > WrapText Specifies whether information in the columns of Schedule Editor to be wrapped or appear truncated for increased readability.

The contents of the field are not deleted if they do not all appear within a column’s width.
