Applying a Street Speed or Closure

Street speed changes or street closures can be applied before or after evacuation or return trips have been scheduled.

Before you begin

Open the Manage Incidents screen.

About this task

Trapeze recommends applying street speed changes and closures before scheduling trips.

Procedure

  1. Search for or create an Incident record.
  2. In the Incident step, define an affected area.
  3. On the Affected tab, provide the following information in the Action fields:
    1. In the blank drop-down list, click whether to slow down or close streets in the affected area.
    2. In the center text box, type the speed or percentage to which to slow down the streets in the affected area.
      If Closed was selected, this field is ignored.
    3. In the right-side drop-down list, click whether the defined value is measured in kilometers, miles, or percentage.
  4. On top of the navigation bar, click the Update Speed Type Settings button:
    Downward-facing arrow and up-ward facing arrow in a circle.
  5. When prompted to update the speed types in the affected area, click OK.
