Saving and Testing Reports

You can save and test new and existing reports using the Report Designer screen.

Open the BSM portal.
Although the Save option is available on other tabs, you must save the report on the Save and Test screen before testing and finalizing the report.
  1. Click Report Designer in the Reports list.
  2. On the screen toolbar, click the Edit button: Edit button
  3. Click the Test tab.
    The Report-Designer - Test screen displays information on the new or selected report.
  4. Fill in or select the appropriate values as sample data in the report fields shown.
    The report fields are saved and tested.
  5. Optional: In the Output Options pane, select a format for the generated report from the drop-down list, and then click Report.
  6. Click the Save button: Save button.
    Note: The Disable Cleanup and Delete all unreleased report buttons in the screen toolbar are for the system administrator's use only.

    If the Disable Cleanup button is selected, the system does not delete the data records used in the generated reports, only the unused resources.
