What Is Saved When You Save Workspaces
You can save the workspaces that you have configured for convenience but you can also alter it as you work.
The following table is meant to be an overview; instructions for selected items are given in greater detail in related sections. Note that some of the functions described are not necessarily applicable to BlockBuster but may be used in other Trapeze5 applications (for example, List and Detail views). The items are categorized by content and appearance.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Fields/Grid |
Content: The fields you selected to be displayed in each screen are saved. Appearance: The colors and grid lines you specified for each screen are saved. |
| System settings and screen specific properties | Content and Appearance: The system settings and screen specific properties you choose are preserved when you save a workspace. These settings control various aspects of how BlockBuster displays information and how BlockBuster performs specific functions. For example, you can specify that distance be displayed in miles and that subject attachments should always be included in e-mails. |
| Customized menus |

| Resource Monitor, Launchpad, and Accessories |
Content: If these items are displayed when you save your workspace, they appear the same way when you open them in your next session. The Resource Monitor displays background DBA (Database administration) and DBD (Database dictionary) information. The Launchpad allows you to store extensions in a separate window that you can minimize and place on any side of the screen for easy access. The Accessories option provides you with a calendar and calculator. |
| Sort order | Appearance: The sort order changes the organization of the data within a grid. The order is saved when you save your workspace. See Sorting and Finding Information for more information on sorting. |
| Status bar | Content: The presence or absence of the Status bar is preserved when you save your workspace. |
