About Lines and Line Groups
Lines also called routes are fixed courses from an origin (node, stop, or timing point) to a destination (which also be a node, stop, or timing point).
Create lines in ancillary data, and then associate the correct lines with line groups. Once lines and line groups are established, you can create patterns and more in the Route Definition screen. You must set the mode for the sign-up period you want to work with—lines are sign-up period dependent, which means that if you create a new line within one sign-up period, it is not available for the next sign-up period by default.
