About Segment Names

Segment street names do not appear in the Properties dialog. Instead, a value in the field is linked to the segment name.

Segment names include the following information:

  • Direction prefix
  • feaNam. feature name
  • feaTyp. feature type
  • dirSuf. direction suffix. Valid values for the suffix are N, S, W, E, NW, NE, SW, SE and EX.

Using these fields, you can name segments following these examples:

  • [N][MAIN][ST][ ]
  • [ ][1 ST][AVE][NW]
  • [ ][EGLINTON][RD][ ] [ ][THE QUEENSWAY][ ][ ]
