About Remark Characteristics

Remark characteristics are the attributes that are associated with each message or remark. These characteristics give you useful information about the remarks you receive and can answer a lot of questions you may have about them.

  • Remark characteristics can answer questions such as the following examples:
    • Who created this remark?
    • When was the remark created?
    • Has anyone modified it since it was created?
    • Who last modified it?
    • When does this remark expire?
    • What is the nature of the remark?
    • Have I read this remark?
  • Remark characteristics keep you informed about the history and the type of each remark.
  • Remark characteristics are found in the list of remarks on the left pane. To view the different kinds of remarks characteristics, move the border that divides the list from the details by clicking it and dragging it to the right. You are able to see all the information in the screen.

The following table summarizes remark characteristics:

Column Heading Description
Type Classification of the remark - Examples: Reroute, Cancel, Special
Last Modified Date the remark was last edited and saved
Category A remark can apply to an individual route or vehicle, for example, or it can be a general remark that is not specific, for example, a general service delay.
Context Describes, through words and icons, the conditions of a given remark, for example, whether it is general or for a particular line.
Title Title of the remark
Modified By Employee who last edited the remark
Expiry Date Date and time the remark will no longer be in use
Created By Employee who originally created the remark
Created Date Time and date the remark was originally saved
Importance Degree of importance of the remark: High, Normal, Low (The <All> option displays remarks
Read Indicates whether or not a remark has been read
