Setting Up the Fare Structure

The FX Fares ancillary data screen is a versatile tool designed to calculate fares for sites with both simple and complex fare structures.

To launch this tool, click File > Ancillary Data > Fixed > Fares.

To set up the fare structure, perform the following procedures in the order listed here as applicable to your site:

1. Fare Details: Define the required passenger types, fare costs, zone, zone groups.
2. Fare Costs: For each fare cost, input actual fares to be charged for different passenger types and determine days and times at which they are used.
3. Fare Zones: (Optional) at some sites, fare is charged for travel between and>or within specific zones. Use the Fare Zones tab to specify the zones.
4. Fare Rules: Use combined data elements to determine the rules (for generic and singular circumstances) used at your site.
