The Run Solutions grid is the middle grid in Schedule Booking Wizard.

Table 1. Run Solutions Grid Columns in the Schedule Booking Wizard
Column Description
#

Numeric sequence of run solutions from the best solution (starting from 1) to the least efficient solution. The number of solutions shown depends on the maximum number of solutions specified in the system.

To specify the maximum number of solutions to be shown, click the Parameters button and edit the Max. Sol field as appropriate.

Seq (Sequence)

Solution set numbers to indicate that a solution is for a specific sequence for multi-leg itinerary bookings. For example, 1 indicates a solution for the first booking in a multi-leg itinerary and 2 indicates a solution for the second booking in a multi-leg itinerary.

For bookings that are not part of an itinerary, this column shows 1 for each run solution.

MOT Mode of transport for the run. For example, F, P, L, T.
Run Run name (usually a number). For example, 101.
Desc Description of the run.

P, which represents a paratransit run, is typically listed within this column for each run solution.

+SE (Schedule Early)

Earliest time that the client can be picked up for that run. This time is determined by the Tools > System Properties > Profile > PASS > Scheduling > Tolerance Pick-up Early property.

For example, if the Tolerance Pick-up Early is set to 0, the earliest pick-up time is the same as the schedule time (ST).

+ST Scheduled time of pick-up for the client for this run.
+SL (Schedule Late)

Latest time that the client can be picked up for that run. This time is determined by the Tools > System Properties > Profile > PASS > Scheduling > Tolerance Pick-up Late property.

For example, if the Tolerance Pick-up Late is set to 30, the latest time the client can be picked up is 30 minutes after the (ST).

The ST, SE, SL, and ET columns are always preceded by a (+) or (-) sign. The (+) sign represents a pick-up time. The (-) sign represents a drop-off time.

-ET (Estimated Time) Estimated drop-off time for the client for each run. When you select a run solution for a booking, the ET here is copied to the ET column in the Client Booking window. This time may change depending on the number of run events added to the run and how well the vehicle keeps to its schedule.
Trav Travel time in minutes from pick-up to drop-off for a specific run solution.
Duration

Duration of a stay in an itinerary trip is based on these values.

The Schedule Server provides a schedule solution that accommodates the values set in the Min and Max Stay fields in Trip Booking.

Trnsf (Transfer) Number of transfers required for the trip.
Fare Not currently implemented.
Walk (For FLEX) Shows the distance the client can walk to a bus stop.
Viol Any violations that would be incurred if you choose a specific run solution.
Weight

System-calculated number for run solutions based on the settings of the costing weights.

To see costing weights settings, click the Parameters button, and then click the Weights button in the Solution Parameters dialog box. The lower the value of the weight, the more efficient the solution.

Vehicle Number Number assigned to the vehicle performing the run.
Provider Provider assigned to the run.
Cost Cost of the trip charged by the provider to the site. When provider costing is set up, the system finds solutions that are based on the provider(s) associated with the lowest cost.
