| MOT (Mode of Transport) |

MOT list, click the mode of transit options required
for the search:
|
| DropOff/Pickup |
Type the client’s requested pick-up and drop-off times:
Note: There is also a check box beside these fields. If it is selected, any times
entered in the Pickup or DropOff fields will be ignored, and the system will
show all available solutions for the selected day.
|
| Runs | Looks for scheduling solutions within specific run(s). Click the ellipsis button (…) to open the Select Runs dialog box. |
| Use Neg | View more solutions after performing an initial search. This filter sets the
search window one hour before and after the negotiated time. Note: If both the SearchW and Neg filters are selected, the system takes the negotiated time of the booking, places the Early/Late search window around it and looks for solutions within this search window. Consider a booking with a negotiated time of pick-up at 8:10. If the early/late search windows are set at 1 hour, and you select both SearchW and Use Neg filters, the system looks for solutions no earlier than 7:10 and no later than 9:10. |
| SearchW | Places a search window around the requested time when looking for
solutions. When a booking is scheduled from Trip Booking, the SearchW (search window) option is selected. When Trip Booking is closed, SearchW is cleared for the booking. This allows trips on the Pend list to be scheduled without using the SearchW option. The SearchW option can still be set manually when searching. This search window is determined by the Early Win and Late Win settings in the Solution Parameters dialog box (found in the Schedule Booking Wizard under ). For example, you have a booking with a requested pick-up time of 9:00. The Early Window and Late Window are both set to 1 hour. When you select the SearchW check box, the system looks for scheduling solutions no earlier than 8:00 and no later than 10:00. This window allows for a more flexible schedule and helps avoid violations. If the user-defined property found in Schedule Booking Wizard under , on the Scheduling Wizard tab, under Default searchwindow is set to Yes, then the SearchW option is selected every time Schedule Booking Wizard is launched. A tracker action, PASS/SearchWindow, can be used when searches are done in the Schedule Booking Wizard. When the action is tracked, the comment in the Tracker Action Browser states the window time. For example, Search Window; Search Early= 1:00, Search Late= 1:00. If SearchW is cleared, the comment Search Window was not used for this search. is logged. |
| Common Runs | When you select multiple bookings (for different clients), you can use this
feature to direct the system to generate only those run solutions that can
accommodate all bookings. When the check box is cleared, the system will only look for run solutions that accommodate the booking that is currently highlighted in the Schedule Booking Wizard. |
