Rescheduling Transfer Trips

Transfer trips may occasionally need to be rescheduled or canceled.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

About this task

Note the following:
  • When you cancel one portion of a trip, all portions of the trip are canceled.
  • Dragging and dropping any portion of the trip causes the trip to become unscheduled and to return to a single pick-up and drop-off. You must then reschedule the trip.
  • If the client is a no-show for one part of the trip, the entire trip is a no-show.
  • Once a transfer trip is on a run, the trip can be moved around within the run but it cannot be moved to another run (or the trip collapses).

Procedure

  1. Search for and highlight the transfer trip.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Schedule button:
      Three times: 1:07, 1:10, and 1:40.
    • Right-click on the highlighted trip and select Reschedule.
    The Schedule Booking Wizard appears.
    Note: You can also reschedule trips from Schedule Editor or Dispatch.
  3. If you know which leg of the trip needs rescheduling, but do not have a preference as to what run it is rescheduled to, do the following:
    1. Right-click on the trip and click Reschedule.
    2. In the Schedule Booking Wizard, click the ellipsis button (…) beside the Runs tab.
      The Select Runs window opens.
    3. Highlight the run that you would like the leg that is not moving to stay on, and select all possible runs that are on the leg that is in need of rescheduling.
    4. Close the Runs window and find a solution.
