Viewing Deadhead Time for Runs

Deadhead time is any non-revenue time during which a vehicle travels without passengers from one stop, event, or location to another.

Before you begin

Schedule Editor must be open to Schedules view.

Procedure

  1. Select a schedule.
  2. Optional: Change the colors shown in the Deadhead Time view:
    1. Click File > Properties.
    2. Click the Tools tab.
    3. Click Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Dead Heads View.
    4. Click a color for each of the following properties:
      • Non-SchTime Run BackColor
      • Non-SchTime Run ForeColor
      • Run Column BackColor
      • Run Column ForeColor
      • SchTime Run BackColor
      • SchTime Run BackColor
    5. Click OK.
  3. Optional: Click the Options tab to adjust the deadhead times shown in the Dead Head view.
    OptionDescription
    Report Interval In the list, click the interval at which deadhead time is viewed.
    Min DeadHead Time Type a value in minutes which is the minimum amount of deadhead time you want shown. You can type 0.
    Min DeadHead Dist Type a value which is the minimum of deadhead distance you want shown. You can type 0.
  4. Click the Deadhead Time button:
    Square clock.
  5. Optional: To toggle between displaying deadhead by distance or time, click the Switch Distance/Time Mode button:
