About Runcutting
Runcutting is the process of developing or cutting runs from a group of vehicle blocks. Runs are composed of complete blocks or segments of blocks.

The Run Costing dialog allows you to add extra pieces to runs, force runs types, and override run costings.

Extra pieces typically refer to work that covers unscheduled service or is too short to be considered a full-day's work (run).

The Override Costing feature allows you to manually change the cost of a run.

You can use this feature, for example, when you want to add pay for time that is not in the union contract for a particular run or you have one remaining run that is illegal and the only thing that is required is to add five more minutes to the platform time.

The values shown in the Run pane of the Run Costing dialog are based on what you have defined on the Parameters tabs.

On the Run Cost dialog, click Override Costing.
The Save and Cancel buttons appear and you can edit the fields in the dialog.
Overwrite the values of the fields you want to change.
Click Save.
The run is marked with an “O” in the St (Status) column in the Runs screen.
Note:
Runs which are frozen (F), forced (M), and have their costs overridden (O) are not affected when you recut the runs using the Automatic Runcutting feature unless you choose the Cut All Blocks by Scratch option.
