About Plotting Routes

Once your nodes and stops have been assigned to a route, you have the option of plotting the path that the route takes on the system map. The continuous path that is made on the system map from the start and end of a route is called a trace.

Plotting is mainly used to measure distances between nodes and stops and to generate run times.

After plotting, the nodes and stops along the route are represented by squares on the system map. If you click a field in the Nodes grid, the corresponding square changes color.
Note: The colors of the route and pattern traces, nodes, and stops in the system map can be controlled in the FX Properties dialog box. Contact your system administrator for more information.
