Node to Node Plot Tab Options

The following table describes the commands found on the Plot tab in the Node to Node Edit dialog box.

Option Description
Clear
Clears the points that you clicked on the map and the information shown on the left frame of the Plot tab. You can choose to remove any of the following points:
  • Last Point: Last street/intersection names in the left frame and the associated portion of the trace.

  • All Points: All the street/intersection names in the left frame and the trace shown on the map.

Delete
Deletes the traces that you have completed on the Node to Node tab. You can choose to remove any of the following Traces:
  • Selected Trace
  • Entire Trace
Turnlist

Turnlist is shown in the Turn List dialog box.

Streets Is selected by default. The System allows you to trace only using streets that appear on the map. To connect the points that you click to the existing trace, select the snap to existing trace option.
Existing Line(s) The system creates the trace on the shortest route along the traces that were previously drawn.
Freehand

The system lets you draw your route anywhere on the map not only using the streets that appear on the map. This is similar to the Freehand option on the Plot tab of the Nodes Edit dialog box

Snap

The check box is automatically marked when you select the Freehand option. It enables you to connect your route trace to streets or features such as mall or driving center driveways that physically exist but do not appear on the map.
