About Assignment of Primary Investigators

A department may have several investigators; however, you can choose one investigator to be the primary investigator for the department.

When you select the Primary Investigator option in the Investigators screen, the investigator is automatically assigned the feedback when the department is selected and the feedback is saved in the COM Representative or COM Investigator screen.

If there is no primary investigator assigned for the department, a list of all the investigators associated with the department appears when you click the Investigators field in the COM Investigator screen.
