Editing Polygons

Editing the color or pattern of either Pen or Fill alters the appearance of the polygon on the map.

Before you begin

Polygon Definition and the system map must be open.

About this task

If you try to assign the polygon to a different route, a This polygon already has route X associated with it. Do you want to change current association message appears. Editing polygons that are associated with routes may produce run polygon violations.

Changing the radius in the Auto Definition frame in the Plot tab also re-sizes your polygon if it is assigned to a route.

If you need to edit a polygon, proceed carefully and note how the changes you make to the polygon affect its size, location, and appearance.

Procedure

  1. Click a polygon type in the list. For example, to edit an ADA polygon, choose the ADA Polygon type.
  2. Highlight the polygon to edit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Make the necessary changes.
  5. Click OK.
    The Polygon Properties dialog box closes.
  6. Click the Save button.
  7. Stop and restart Schedule Server for the changes to take effect.
