Creating Shelter Contacts
In the Contacts step in the Manage Shelters screen, you can add shelter contact information.
Before you begin
About this task
Available contact types are defined in ancillary data.
Specific people can be added as shelter contacts.
Procedure
- Search for and open the Shelter record, or create a new Shelter record.
- Click the Contacts step:
- Right-click on the Contacts pane and click New.

Select the type of contact to create.
Available Contact Types are defined in General ancillary data in the Configuration screen.
To edit an existing contact, right-click on the contact and click Edit.

In the Contact Details pane, enter or update the information as
needed.
The fields for contact methods (for example, fax, phone) are site-specific. Check boxes might be shown beside contact method fields.
Select the check box to indicate that messages may be left for the contact for the respective contact method.
Available contact methods are defined in Device Types ancillary data.
Other fields might include the following:- Contact Type
- Previously selected contact type.
- Title, First Name, and Last Name
- Contact’s title and name.
- Company
- Contact’s company name.
- Job Title
- Contact’s job title.
- Comments
- Comments about the contact.
Comments will not appear anywhere else.

Type any applicable contact information.
Available Contact Device Types are defined in General ancillary data in the Configuration screen. (Device Types must be defined before Contact Device Types can be defined.)
- Click Save.
