Displaying Deadheads on the System Map

You can display the deadheads on the system map when you open the Deadheads tab in the Blocking screen.

Open the system map before selecting the deadheads you want to view.
  1. On the Deadheads tab, select the Garage or Interline option depending on the type of deadhead that you want displayed.
  2. Enter other search criteria as necessary.
  3. Click Display.
    The deadheads that match your search criteria appear in the Deadheads grid.
  4. Select the deadhead you want to view on the map.
  5. Click the Display button: Display button.
    A green square and a red square appear on the map. The green square represents the From node location while the red square represents the To node location.
  6. Optional: To change or view some map features, click the following options:
    • Zoom: Zoom button. To view the squares and a larger representation of the deadhead location on the map.
    • Follow: Follow button. To look at other deadhead locations. Moves the view of the map to the appropriate location and ensures that the selected deadhead appears in the center of the map frame.
    • Label: Label button. To display the location names on the map if desired. The green and red squares change into rectangles containing the abbreviations of the names of the node or garage of the selected deadhead.
  7. After viewing the selected deadheads, click Map to close the map.
