Sign-In Parameters Tab Fields

In OPS Sign-In Terminal Parameters, the ancillary data on the Sign-In Parameters tab controls when the employee can sign in and what messages are shown.

Fields Description
Absence Type for Late Sign-In

Select the absence type generated when employees sign in late.

Note:
If no absence type for late sign-in is specified, an absence isn't generated when an employee signs in late.
Auto Update DL Expiration Date If Sign-In Terminal uses a driver’s license, the system reads the expiry date from the card and updates it in the system. Select this checkbox if you want the expiry date updated.
Break Activity Type Select the type of break activity.
Break End Tolerance Enter the amount of time, in minutes, that can be added to the break end.
Break Late Absence Type When a late sign-in is returned, an absence is created using the selected absence type.
Break Start Tolerance Enter the amount of time, in minutes, that can be added to the break start.
Change Absence Time Threshold Enter the amount of time (in HMS format - 1H10M30s) after which if no sign-in has occurred an absence of the type specified in Change Time Absence Type is created.
Change Time Absence Type Select the absence type to use with Change Absence Time Threshold.
Early Sign In Message Enter the text that appears on the Detail screen if the employee has signed in too early for work.
Early Tolerance Enter a time value that specifies how early employees can sign in to work before their actual scheduled sign-in time. For example, 30 minutes.
Late Sign In Message Enter the text that appears on the Detail screen if the employee has signed in too late for work.
Late Tolerance Enter a time value that specifies how late employees can sign in to work after their actual scheduled sign in time. For example, 30 minutes.
No Parking Message Enter a message to show if no parking information is found.
No Vehicle Assigned Message Message to be shown to the employee if there is no vehicle available to be assigned.
Relief Tolerance Enter a time value that specifies how early employees can sign in to relief work before their actual scheduled sign in time (for example, 1h00).

If the value of this field is 0, employees performing relief work can sign in early within the time specified by the Early Tolerance field.

Sign In Message Enter the text that appears beneath the status of the Detail screen, and on the print slip receipt. For example, Please attach this receipt to your manifest for payment.
Work Time Frame Specify the amount of time to look ahead for work.
For example, when an employee attempts to sign in at noon (12 PM) and has work at 3 PM:
  • Defined as 1 hour: there is no work available for sign in.
  • Defined as 4 hours: early sign-in is available.
