Adding Employee Volunteer Information in the Client Shell

Client Shell users can add employee volunteer information by using the Employee Profile - Volunteer screen to create and update employee volunteer records.

The OPS > Employee Profile > Volunteer security permissions must be granted to see and update volunteer records.
Employees can volunteer for work on different days, at different times, and in different locations (called regions) in addition to their regular work assignments.
  1. In the Client Shell, open the Employee Profile screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select an employee record and then select Volunteer.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To add a new volunteer record, in the detail pane, right-click and select Add New Record.
    • To add a volunteer record based on an existing record, select the record in the list pane, click in the detail pane, and select Clone Record: Clone Record
  4. Enter the date range for the volunteer record in the From Date and To Date fields.
  5. Select a Volunteer Type.
    Volunteer types valid for the date range are listed.
  6. In Week Template, select the days the employee is available as a volunteer.
  7. If applicable, select the Available Regions where the employee can act as a volunteer.
  8. Optional: Enter any Comments.
  9. Select Save.
To create or update volunteer records quickly, you can use the Employee Volunteer Status Entry screen. Use the calendar interface to select the volunteer types for employees on each day. Apply Changes to update the employee profile volunteer records.
