Creating Pattern Remarks

Pattern remarks appear with the selected pattern.

When you create a Pattern remark, the remark notification icon (exclamation mark) appears in the margin of the headway sheet next to the pattern specified. For example, if you type a remark for line 236, pattern NB1, the remark notification icon appears next to all of the 236 trips that use the pattern NB1. So even if the service is only affected from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., all of the NB1 trips throughout the day display the remark notification icon.
  1. In the Headway Wizard screen, open the headway sheet of the line for which you want to type the pattern remark.
  2. Select a field of the pattern on the headway sheet. Right-click and on the shortcut menu, choose Add Remark > Pattern.
    The Remarks and Remarks Properties dialogs are displayed. On the Validity grid in the Remarks Properties dialog, the From Date is shown as the current date and the To Date is shown as seven days from the current date by default.
  3. Make any necessary changes in the Remarks Properties dialog. Click OK.
  4. On the right pane of the Remarks dialog, type the remark.
