About Dashboard Tiles

Dashboard tiles are typically pinned visuals that originate from linked reports.

They can also be created from other sources, including your datasets and other dashboards. Standalone tiles can be created for things like images, videos, and text boxes.

Note that the data for the dashboard tile updates if the linked visual changes, but the visual type (visualization) does not.

The Dashboard canvas acts a lot like the report canvas. You can move and resize dashboard tiles in the same way you can move and resize visuals.
