About Live Bookings

Live records are created from master subscription records and are used to send out vehicles to clients.

Live schedules are automatically created by the Schedule Server every night at midnight. With every live schedule, the system makes a copy of every master subscription file that occurs on that week day. As a result, when the live schedule for Friday, April 8, 2020 is created, all subscriptions occurring on Friday are activated to live bookings. These live trips are then matched to the scheduled template trips (that is, the live day of Friday, April 8, 2020 matches the Friday Template schedule). Matching live trips to templates ensures that subscription passengers have their regular spots on runs and creates consistent and efficient schedules.

Subscription trips are automatically activated to loaded live days and newly activated days after the initial subscription creation. If they are not activated manually, the Schedule Server activates the subscription automatically to all loaded live days when the next “new day” is created after midnight.
