Linking a Trip to Other Linked Trips

You can link a single trip to a group of trips that have previously been linked.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

About this task

When you edit a linked trip, you are not prompted to edit other trips within the itinerary. If you make any changes to a booking that is part of an itinerary, make sure other bookings that may be affected by the changes are also edited.

For example, there is an itinerary that includes three trips to be performed in successive order on a single day. If you change the request times, Leg Detail (for example, number of passengers), or address information of one trip, you may have to change the other bookings to match. If you edit the request, Leg Detail, or address information of a linked trip that has already been scheduled, the system prompts you to reschedule it. Click Yes to reschedule the booking with the Schedule Booking Wizard or click No to unschedule the booking.

Procedure

  1. Search for the client whose linked trip is to be edited.
  2. In the Trip Administration grid, press the CTRL key and highlight the single trip and one of the trips belonging to the group of linked trips.
  3. Click the Link Trips button:
    Linked chain.
The Link Trips dialog box appears. The new trip and all other trips previously grouped together are shown.
  4. Place the bookings in the correct sequence.
  5. Click Link.
    A confirmation message appears.
  6. Click Yes.
