Marking Trips as Sent in Dispatch Center

After you have dispatched an event to a driver, mark it as sent on the Incidents Dispatch grid.

Before you begin

Dispatch Center must be open.

About this task

Pay close attention to events marked with the urgent flag, which identifies events that have estimated times that are fast approaching or have passed but have not been marked as sent. These events need to be dispatched to the drivers and then marked as sent on the list.
Two runs marked with the urgent flag, which is circled in red.

Procedure

  1. Click the Options tab.
  2. Confirm the correct schedule is selected and use other viewing options where necessary.
  3. Optional: In the Incidents Dispatch grid, use the search filters to narrow down the list of events.
  4. Optional: In the Send list, click Unsent to view only events that have not been marked as sent.
  5. Click Refresh.
  6. Select the event.
To select multiple events, hold CTRL and select each additional event.
To select a group of consecutive events, hold SHIFT and select the first event and then select the last event to be sent. These events and all events between them are highlighted.
  7. Right-click, click Mark, and then click a command to indicate the manner by which the event was dispatched.
If you make an error in selecting a send command, click the event again, right-click, click Mark, and then click the correct command.

Results

The event's send abbreviation (DL - By Log, DM - By MDT, DV - By Voice) is shown in the Send column.

If the Incidents Dispatch grid is set to view only unsent events, the events you have marked will be removed from the Incidents Dispatch grid. If you want to see it on the list, clear the Send filter and adjust the Range time window if necessary.
