Identifying Whether Clients Need Evacuation

Even if a client is affected by an incident, he or she may not need to be or want to be evacuated.

Before you begin

Open the Manage Incidents screen.

About this task

Clients may have friends or relatives who are willing to provide shelter until the incident is resolved. In these cases, a shelter does not need to be assigned and an evacuation trip does not need to be scheduled.

Procedure

  1. On the Clients tab in the Client Management step, click the client to assign to a shelter.
    To select multiple clients, press Ctrl while clicking the client rows, or press Ctrl + A to select all clients.
  2. Right-click, click Need Evacuation, and then click one of the following options:
    Unknown
    The client's evacuation status is unknown or the client could not be contacted.
    Yes
    The client has requested or agreed to be evacuated.
    No
    The client has declined to be evacuated.
