Operational Bidding New Features
Operational bidding enhancements have been added in v21.0, v21.1, and v21.2.
General
- Extraboard bid unit categories now support defining multiple quotas.
- In Work Assignment Rules ancillary data, Operational Bidding has
been added to the Application List.

This separates operational bidding from original bidding and allows work assignment rules to be checked when bidding for work in the Operational Bidding screen. -
When creating an operational bid, you can now select which divisions to include. If a division already has an existing bid, then the division name is read-only.

Vacation Relief Packages
Vacation relief packages combine sets of week-based vacation relief work to be used in Open Work operational bids.
If a vacation relief employee is away for the rest of the period (for example, if they retire early), their work (which covers for operators on vacation) can be combined as needed and bid on by other employees. Vacation relief packages are created in Work Planner.
Operational Bidding Vacation Relief
Operators can now bid for vacation relief work in vacation relief operational bids.
Operational Vacation Relief bids are created in the Operational Bid
screen. General information is defined, as are the employees who will be bidding (using
the Employees page) and the employees whose work will be covered while they are on
vacation (using the Employees with work available for vacation relief page).

A new ancillary data screen, OPS Operational Vacation Relief
Bid Config, lets system administrators define the vacation relief bid. When
creating the bid configuration, the selected Employee Bid Unit List
must have a BidCategory of ReliefVacation
defined.
