About Bid Units

Bid units specify the type of work in a bid and define the employees eligible to participate in the bid.

Bid units are selected during bid configuration. Example bid units include the following:
  • Rosters
  • Runs
  • Extraboard work
  • Vacation relief work
  • Holiday work
  • Absence or vacation time
Note: In Europe, employees are typically given rotas instead of rosters. For a rota system, rota bid units are used.
