About Sign-Up Periods
Sign-up periods are typically imported from an external fixed route application and define the length of time covered by a bid.
Typically, transit agencies have three or four sign-up periods a year for work bids, which are provided by fixed route applications like Trapeze FX. The length of a sign-up period can be adjusted to create multiple shorter bids. Bids can also be created in the same sign-up period for the same division as long as the bid units are different.
After a sign-up period is imported, it can be managed using the OPS Sign-Up Management screen.
Note: At many agencies, operators choose vacation time for the next
calendar year near the end of the current year. This is called a period (not a sign-up period),
but it works the same way as a sign-up period.
