Resetting Employee PINs

Employee PINs can be reset as needed. For example, when an employee has forgotten their PIN.

The OPS > Employee Profile > Employee Card > Change Pin > Edit security permission must be granted.

PIN updates are not available for employees that have security user identities (visible in the Identity field) tied to LDAP accounts.

  1. Open the Employee Profile screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select the employee for whom to reset the PIN.
    PIN stands for Personal Identification Number. Typically, the default PIN is the employee badge number.
  3. In the screen toolbar, select Change PIN : Lock icon.
  4. Enter a New PIN and confirm (reenter) the PIN.
    If desired, you can Show PIN.
  5. Select OK.
The employee PIN is reset.
