Work Subtypes

Work Subtypes ancillary data defines work subtypes for special, casual, and standby work. For example, special shuttles may be a subtype of special work.

There are four standard work types:
  • Runs. Regular scheduled work.
  • Special runs. Transit services other than regular or special services contracted by an individual or agency for a specific purpose.
  • Casual work. Any type of work provided by the employer over and above scheduled work. For example, training or attending meetings.
  • Standby work. Scheduled time spent by employees waiting on site for work assignments.

You can add a description and a pay code, and indicate whether a vehicle is needed for the work subtype. A vehicle isn't required if you create a subtype for standby work.

You can view and enter labor cost allocations for work subtypes. Labor cost allocations specify the accounts where costs are billed.

Select Count as Platform Time and Count as Work Time, as applicable, according to your work assignment rules.

You can split activity-based work (work that has the Activity Flag selected).
