Adding Location Types

By defining location types, you create categories to which geocoded common locations are assigned. When searching for a common location, you can search by location type to narrow your search.

Location types are also useful in the reporting process. If your reports show that a substantial number of people are going to a common location on a regular basis, a run can be created to provide service to and from that location. Sites that must isolate service to>from a specific location type may also find location type useful. For example, if weather compromises your service, sites can opt to shut down all services except medical trips.
