Defining Funding Sources

A funding source is an agency that pays for all or part of a client’s trip.

Procedure

  1. Click File > Ancillary Data > Para > Pricing > Funding Sources.
  2. In the Abbr field, type an abbreviated name for the funding source.
  3. Type a Description of the funding source.
  4. Optional: From the SecGroup Name drop-down list, select a security group.
    Only users who are members of the assigned security group will able to edit the funding source in this dialog box.
  5. In the Address box, enter the address of the funding source. If the address has not been geocoded, use the Address Matching and Mouse options to geocode it.
  6. In the Contract Start and Contract End fields, enter the dates covering the period for which the funding source is effective.
  7. Optional: In the Registration No. field, enter the registration number of the funding source.
  8. Optional: In the Account No. field, enter the account number of the funding source.
  9. If applicable, select a default payment type from the Payment Type drop-down list.
    If none is specified, the global setting for default payment type is used in Trip Booking.
  10. Optional: If a client signature is required when boarding the vehicle or to perform a trip, select the Signature Required check box.
  11. Optional: If the funding source is not active, select the Inactive check box so that it cannot be selected in Trip Booking.
  12. In the Phone and Fax fields, enter the phone and fax numbers of the funding source.
  13. Optional: To restrict trips that are charged to this funding source to the associated polygon, selecting a polygon from the PolyId drop-down list.
    If you book a trip in Trip Booking and the Using Funding Source Polygon property is set to Yes, a warning appears if the origin or destination is not within a valid funding area. Click Yes to continue or click No if you do not wish to proceed. (To apply this option, the Trapeze6 security permission key Trapeze4/Trip Booking/Funding Source Polygon must be granted to the user.)
  14. Optional: In the Comment field, enter any additional information about the funding source.
  15. In the Contact name fields, enter the name of the contact from the funding source.
  16. Type an Email address for the funding source.
  17. Click Supp. Data and define any supplementary data for funding sources.
    Supplementary data is defined by a system administrator in Tools > Supp. Data Definition.
  18. Click Add.
    The funding source is added to the list in the lower section of the dialog box.
  19. Click Close.
